Producer & Client Manager
The role:
The focus of the role is to manage client relationships, and manage and deliver video production projects from start to finish. You will oversee an in-house team of two, including a motion graphics designer, and a roster of specialist freelancers, primarily camera operators and video editors.
Core responsibilities:

Client management Liaising with clients and speaking to stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget

Pre-production including scheduling, storyboarding and shot lists

Overseeing post-production, Managing workflows and post-production processes to ensure maximum efficiency.

Producer/director on shoots

Proposal writing
-
Costing/budgeting - quotes, managing and tracking project spend

Being responsible for and ensuring impressive and consistently high standards are applied to every project for all our clients.
Secondary responsibilities:

Marketing, including messaging

Business development and strategy

Management of intern recruitment

We may require some management of web projects.
Applicant profile:

Enthusiastic about content. Ideally you would be able to show us content you have created.
Essential knowledge and experience:
-
Experience of managing client relationships
-
Knowledge and experience of the video production process
-
Working knowledge of and experience in relevant software, for example editing video on Premiere Pro or creating graphics in After Effects.

Educated to degree level (we consider production/filmTV courses to be relevant, as well as Arts subjects like English literature, and creative writing, or marketing, and journalism.) We would not rule out applicants with different academic backgrounds.

Some experience with, and basic knowledge of cameras, lighting, and sound equipment.
Desirable knowledge and experience:

Experience of working for an SME or micro business

Knowledge of marketing techniques and what makes for effective content

Digital savvy - knowledge of websites, social media and SEO.
Remuneration

Dependent on experience.
Working hours
-
Full time - 5 days per week

Work hours are between 9am and 5pm Monday-Friday.
Working from home
-
Flexible - Ideally we would like you to work from our Birmingham office at least one day per week, but we can be flexible.
Shoot hours
Shoots are usually a 10 hour day including travel time, but travel sometimes increases this, and occasionally an overnight stay may be required.
Start date
Flexible.
